Minecraft 1.8 Snapshot: Guardian Monster, Elder Boss, Ocean Monument, New Prismarine Block Sponge
I take a look at the new Snapshot updates available this week for Minecraft 1.8, 14w25a & 14w25b, and run down the list of new features & fixes added, including a new underwater structure the Ocean Monument to explore & loot, new hostile Guardian & Elder Guardian mini boss mobs to fight, the Depth Strider boot enchantment, new Prismarine, Prismarine Bricks, Dark Prismarine, & Sea Lantern blocks, Sponge & Wet Sponge having a survival use to drain water, craftable Coarse Dirt & renewable Cracked Stone Bricks, the ability to Silk Touch better looking Huge Mushroom blocks, creating the Wither, Snow Golem, & Iron Golem with any orientation, Arrows getting an underwater nerf, Signs & Books getting some formatting upgrades, Village Zombie Sieges returning, Redstone & String no longer helping to make Obsidian, Stairs flipping, double Slabs being removed, rendering improvements, tons of bug fixes, & more! Wow, they need to remove the jumpscare
at 6:26 that scared me at first, so i was at my new base preping for the
battle underwater, then i heard these weird “Drilling” noises, i finally
figured out it was the guardians, i was boating around one day trying to
find one, not even 1500 blocks from my house is a monument, so iwas just
chillin ya know, boating around, the drilling sounds were louder and
louder, i saw what was making those sou— *HOLY FUCKING SHIT WAS WAS THAT
OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCKING FUCKER FUCK!* that image popped up and im not
even joking, i had to pause the game, get new pants and calm down, after
that the fatigue got REALLY annoying and no longer scary.

When the elder guardian went across my screen it was going slower and the
screen was completely black except the elder guardian and he was much much
more clear

You forgot about 1 last feature to minecraft it is the enchantment table
and now lapis has a new way to be used and plus u put the lapis in the
enchantment table and hover over the enchantment and you can read the
enchantment in English

I was mining around at lvl 13 and started to hear a monster i haven’t heard
before in the normal world (not nether or somehting) and it made a sound
like a ghast.. the krrreww sound 😀 As I got deeper the sound got harder,
but I can’t really find the mob, I’m not really looking forward to get
owned in 3 seconds if it’s some kind of boss.. so any1 got an idea what it
is?

Ahhhhh I miss the old days back in Alpha when the game was nice and simple.

I go in no armor. Got no potions or no good sord. Not instant deth…liar.
Didn’t have to kill all elder guardians.
I fel smart.
I dug tunnel to one of pillars from island.
Brought a cow to pillar.
Dug up pillar.
Built tunnel grid all throughout the place.
Got jumpscared a few times.
I didn’t really get anything of value though :(

once me and my friend were playing factions and we were riding boats to get
to an island and we passed by a temple (we didnt see it) and the elder
guardian scared my friend to death but I wasnt scared cause I have seen
many an elder guardian

if ocean monument is sky temple with diamond sword drop from boss it would
be good idea or the kingdom with over 90 houses and 40 towers and 3 castle
with 1 bed in each house and vampire temple should be cool drops diamond
sword with any enchantment
