   @cinexstudios You’re 100% correct. When you see other videos you’ll see the
   difference in composition. These were some of the very first ones I had
   done and I was rushing as I didn’t know what I would edit and what not so
   composition got ignored. But you’ll notice in other videos that I’m picky
   about composition. Thanks for watching!

   U think using center metering would somewhat compensate in taking picture
   in shaded area?

   you don’t need a defuser, just use your metering in camera on the bright
   areas of the frame then recompose on to the subject. too easy.

   @Jack19592008 That’s great! I’d also suggest to play with flash at
   different ISO to test your true ISO capabilities. Sometimes we use high ISO
   assuming flash may not produce enough light. Knowing your camera’s
   limitation really helps when you’re doing manual work. 7 out of 10 times I
   use 60 degree angle.

    @Jepraw Yeah, I’ll do a video on it but SB900 interface is different than
    SB700. You want to set your mode to TTL if it’s the first time you’re using
    a speed light. The flash power maybe displayed in 0.0 EV (TTL mode) or
    fraction like 1/4 (Manual mode) You rotate the dial to adjust the power.
    For regular 8 foot ceiling 0.0 EV or 1/4 power is okay depending on the
    aperture/shutter. Play with it. The CLS system is easy to use by switching
    to “Remote” and use the pop up flash as master.

    @AmrcnHstryX With the flash diffuser on/off there is nothing that’s blown
    out. I’m looking at the right now in lightroom. Also, when the picture is
    flat due to not enough light you don’t want to increase the shutter speed.
    That will cause under exposure.

    Great Tutorial (i like all of them actually). I did some outdoor portrait
    photography, but when i use my flashlight, all of my photos get over
    exposed? Any idea what i am doing wrong? I am using a Canon 350d, with
    mostly a canon EF 55-200 zoomlens

    I shoot in both. All paid gigs or important pictures in RAW and when I’m
    just messing around or taking pictures for the tutorial I shoot in JPEG.

    With the fill flash photos it seems to me that there are alot of blown out
    highlights in the background and they are really distracting. I suggest
    turning up your shutter to lover the exposure of the ambient light. You
    explained this very well though, good job.

    @amashley19 If you’ll be doing this on a side to make some extra money then
    yes, it’s worth every penny. Remember 85mm will be used for your close up
    portraits. You won’t be able to do group shots with that. Maybe 3 people
    from a distance. As far as the quality of the lens go, it is top notch.

    @ZlleH A lot of photographers don’t use the diffuser when they’re using
    fill flash. They just use direct flash but I personally like to diffuse the
    light. Fill flash is not your primary source of light anyway. You’re using
    ambient light or continuous light as your primary source but fill just
    makes it pop more. In few weeks I’ll show you guys how to do strobe work
    instead of using fill flash. I’ll use soft box/umbrella to diffuse the
    light. And yes, upright bouncing won’t bounce outdoors.
