Wine Country Vintage Engagement Photography Behind The Scenes Video

Rachel & Dave have fast become one of my favorite couples, they are super sweet, easy to work with, and are open to any fun and creative ideas you throw at them, and we laughed hysterically throughout the entire shoot.

As you can imagine, when I told them about the idea I had for their engagement session, they were completely ecstatic! We wanted to keep it simple, make it adorable, and choose a beautiful natural setting for a relaxing picnic. Dave actually proposed to Rachel in their backyard when he just felt the time was right, so choosing this type of setting took them back to that special moment when she said yes!

We shot at one of my favorite locations, Tilden Park that borders Oakland and Berkeley just outside of San Francisco. Together we incorporated a variety of fruits, decorative and colorful desserts, tasty wine (which Rachel & Dave thoroughly enjoyed!), snacks like crackers and cheeses, vintage cake stands, anything we could think of to create the most epic picnic spread of all time!

Rachel & Dave’s outfits are adorable, Rachel’s hair is authentically vintage, I can’t get enough of the detail in those curls. One of my favorite props were the colorful balloons, especially the polka dot ones! Balloons paired with our vintage suitcase shouts fun & adventure. We even got our hands on an acoustic guitar which helped to create hilarious & romantic photos of the couple together, definitely a highlight of the day!

I’m am so thrilled about our brand new behind the scenes video by Different Cloud Imagery, an independent production company. We collaborated together as directors, producers, and as editors to get it just right! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
