This has recently come back up on my screen as I prepare for next
acquisition. Thanks: Your review remains every bit as valuable in making
this decision now as I remember it having been when it first came out.

I bought a used one a few weeks ago. I am loving it! Great image quality
but it’s the quiet shutter that really makes this a great pleasure to use.
I have yet to wish I had a different lens. So l glad I went for the RX1
    over the A7.

There is really no comparison to your camera reviews on YouTube. Best
reviews and full of useful info every single time.
    Great job!

I’m currently looking for a new video camera to replace an 8 year old JVC.
I have since made my decision (Canon Vixia G30), but in talking to the
sales rep, he did say that all stills cameras overheat in video
after…10-15 minutes? I was curious if you’ve had that issue with this
    one?

” any comments about out-of-camera white balance/color…” I have serious
doubts anyone who buys this camera will shoot in JPG only… with RAW in
camera whitebalance etc are all irrelevant. if there was an issue with
autofocus I’d have mentioned it as for “negative” reviews… even on my
personal channel I devote little time to producing content about stuff I’m
not impressed by… I’d rather spend time on things that impassion me, &
are worth owning. That personal choice carries over here.

Really, the RX1 is a great camera. It really shows that you CAN put a full
frame sensor in a body of a “POINT AND SHOOT” size body… albeit with some
hindrances such as it may explain why it doesn’t have an interchangeable
lens feature/ability. Buuuttt… there is this problem: Mirrorless cameras
are being reverse engineered in the wrong way. Instead of packing as much
punch as possible with reasonably small size, they get bigger to rivaling
sizes of DSLRs and offer no better.

If you need to do those things, then you obviously purchased the wrong
camera. Simple as that. Pro-tip; Do you research BEFORE handing over your
hard earned cash… buy the RIGHT tool for the jobs you need it to do.

Sorry for my lack of clarity, don’t worry Sydneys weather isn’t agreeing
    with my rig either

I meant the Fujifilm X100S has an APS-C sensor, not an ASP-C sensor. Sorry.

amazing product, unfortunately it has a full-on DSLR price instead of a
compact camera price, looks kind of a more “niche product” for serious/pro
shooters that can’t or don’t want to lug around the blunt size and mass of
a big DSLR whilst retaining full-frame performance

Nice camera prohibitive price tag I agree $3000 for camera and one lens,
I’d like to have one but can’t justify the price.

All the enthusiasm is not going to overcome the very prohibitive price tag
    of $3000 dollars!

Great camera. Loads of manual control which suits me well. However, the
price is a letdown. I would rather buy it for $2,199 or $2,399.
