Samsung Galaxy Alpha Camera Review: Real World UHD Video Samples and Tests (4K)!

Samsung now builds their own camera sensors, but fitted the Alpha with a lower resolution sensor than the Galaxy S5. It’s down to 12MP instead of 16MP. Has that had any affect on video quality? Let’s take a look at some real world video tests from the second phone to use a Samsung designed ISOCELL camera sensor!

On your review you didn’t spend much time on the camera of this device. You
dismissed it as being not as good as other flagships, I’m assuming because
of the megapixels. Wondering what your thoughts were with this video.

If it wasn’t for the gimped battery life, this would be a solid device for
one-handed use. As it stands, I think the Z3 Compact is a better choice.

People have been bemoaning the lower res camera sensor on the Alpha, but
let’s see how it performs while shooting 4K video!

Lol the night time recording of the Galaxy Alpha seemed just fine to me. I
think there was lint stuck on the camera! (My S5 did that all the time from
taking it out of my pocket) I swear that must be it haha. Great Video!

Hard to decide which phone I should get, either the Alpha or the M8.
Whether I want a phone for longevity or for looks is up to me. One other
phone I would consider would be the 2014 version of the moto x. But HTC has
the Boomsound speakers on the M8. Ugh! So many things to consider in a

That’s almost a perfect phone video review!
I’m not sure, but maybe it’d be interesting to see some seconds of maximum
efforts shots: stable as possible, nice as possible. I hope you’l get what
    I mean.

Great review…but I don’t know what to believe. I have an Alpha, but the
videos in low light taken with my device, are worse. Lots of noise. Your
unit is handling pretty good..but mine, in low light…even indoors, is
    almost unusable. Photos too :(
